Keeping the interface as simple as possible for dealers who spend most of the day in the field was our most important decision.
Who has the current price list, which product is in stock, where an order stands — all of these questions ate into an employee's day, and product codes got tangled up in the back-and-forth.
How we solved it
We designed and built a portal dealers sign into with their own account: product catalog, dealer-specific pricing, order creation and status tracking, all in one place.
Technical documents and product imagery moved into the portal too. We built a loop that watches competitor prices and auto-updates the portal's prices by rule; we deliberately kept the interface simple for users who spend most of the day in the field.

Competitor-Price Auto-Update Loop

Result
Orders now come through a single channel in a structured form; the “is the price list current?” back-and-forth is largely a thing of the past.
The portal became the ground for the manufacturer's day-to-day relationship with its dealer network.
